Canada-based Modaxo Group today completed its planned $164 million acquisition of Conduent’s public transit unit, creating two new businesses and brands. It’s Modaxo’s biggest acquisition to date, adding 2,000 employees globally, the group said.

Modaxo has renamed Conduent’s former fare-collection business “Novvan” and it’s smaller and lesser-known fleet management solutions/vehicle-tracking business “Routeward.” Both were part of the Conduent public transit unit, which brought in $371 million last year, up nearly 9% from 2024.
