Paris transport authority Île-de-France Mobilités is reportedly expected to decide in May whether to expand open-loop payments to at least part of the Paris Métro and elsewhere beyond its buses. And an even larger ticketing- system upgrade might be in the offing, Mobility Payments has learned.
The authority is believed to be holding a test among vendors of one or more components of a new back office–one that would fully support account-based ticketing, or ABT.
