The Miami-Dade County mayor’s office has recommended canceling a roughly $40 million account-based ticketing back-office procurement after officials had received multiple objections from vendors claiming irregularities in the process, according to a letter sent to bidders yesterday (download below), Mobility Payments has learned.
The county, which oversees Miami-Dade Transit, said it plans to reissue the request for proposal for the project after making revisions. The Board of County Commissioners is expected to approve the recommendation to scrap the procurement and start over again.
