Cubic Transportation Systems is growing concerned that it could lose the account-based ticketing back-office contract with Transport for New South Wales in Sydney, with the authority possibly announcing the winner as early as this month, Mobility Payments has learned.

It’s a contract that Cubic can ill-afford to lose, after failing to keep perhaps its most-important flagship project, in London, and more recently being disqualified in Miami. The latter is a much-smaller project and is still open to filing of an objection and protest by Cubic.
