Spain-based Indra Group announced today it has signed the new revenue-collection contact with Transport for London–a deal worth up to £845 million (US$1.1 billion) to operate and maintain TfL’s massive fare system.

The High Court of Justice yesterday agreed to allow TfL to enter into the contract with Indra, removing a months-long block imposed by a lawsuit filed against TfL by incumbent vendor Cubic Transportation Systems, Mobility Payments has learned. CTS president Peter Montgomery-Torrellas, in a letter yesterday to employees (see below), vowed the vendor would continue its legal fight.
